Our mission is to empower women to take control of their own health and to live as fully and as productively as possible. CWAP provides prevention education, advocacy and support for women at risk or living with HIV in the Chicago area.

Become a Volunteer
 
Help out Chicago Women's AIDS Project (CWAP) by volunteering!  There are volunteer opportunities at our CWAP.
 
Support Services:
  • Prepare and Serve Lunch (CWAP South)
        Where: 2317 E. 71st Street, Chicago 60649
        When: 2nd and 4th Saturdays @ 1:00 pm
        We need food prepared off-site for this support group for positive women!

 

  • Childcare and Lunch Preparation (CWAP North)
        Where: 6363 N. Broadway
                     Chicago, IL 60660
        When:  Every Saturday @ 12:00 noon - 2:30pm
         Help our staff prepare lunch and provide childcare at support group!

 

Prevention Services:


  • Assistance with the Safe in Chicago Project (CWAP South)
        Where: 2317 E 71st St.

        When:  negotiable
  • Assistance with Sisters Reaching Out Project (CWAP South)               
             Where: 2317 E 71st St.
                       Chicago, IL 60649

General:

 

  • Administrative and Creative Assistance
         What skills can you share that will help us grow?  Fundraising, web site design, board recruitment, newsletter
    and leaflet design.

 

  • Internship
        CWAP welcomes interns in policy, therapy, prevention, research, fundraising, or other related areas.  Contact us to discuss
    your specific 
            needs.
